A big brother

Jack, Anna and Mom
I am very lucky to have been blessed with  two sisters and a little brother.  However, I thought it would be so cool to have a big brother.  Someone to watch out for me. I am so glad that Anna has Jack for her big brother.  He loves her dearly and is constantly watching out for her.  He talks to her all the time, it is really sweet.  Every morning she looks all around until she finds him.  He will say "Heyyyyyyyy (it is actually that long will his little southern drawl) Anna" and then just talk to her about 5 minutes.  I just love it.  He is a sweet heart.

Packing her bags and saying goodbye

This weekend we went to Shreveport.  A trip to Shreveport that started off like any other.  However, we all knew in the back of our heads this one was different.  Not a terrible different, just a bittersweet one.  These were the last days mom has at her own house for at least a month.  She headed with Dad to Houston on Monday after school.
I imagine this is somehow like a mom feels sending her son to war.  I am filled with love, pride, and sadness.  Love because, well, she is my mom.  The worlds best mom.  The person that loves me more than any other (well besides maybe my Dad and Kory).  Pride beacuse I know she is going to fight like no other.  She will be fighting to get home to her babies and her babies babies (the grands).  Sadness because I have seen what chemo does to her.  I will not go any further.  It just hurts me when my mom hurts.
BUT mostly I need to be filled with HOPE.  The hope that God has placed in all of my family's hearts.  He will take care of her.  She will survive.
